JOB DESCRIPTION
The medical imaging and radiotherapy technician works within medical teams. He participates in functional exploration and diagnosis. He performs, based on a medical prescription, imaging procedures, by handling MRIs and scanners and other radiology equipment in which he is a specialist
When working in a radiotherapy unit, he is involved in the implementation of “radiotherapy, brachytherapy” therapeutic treatment for cancer patients.
PROFESSIONAL PROSPECTS
He can work in private offices, radiology departments and mobile radiology units as a:
-Medical imaging operator
-Radiology operator
– Radiotherapy operator
– Medical Physics TechnicianOr as a sales manager in a company manufacturing and selling radiology equipment.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Holders of a Baccalaureate or an equivalent diploma are admitted to the first year of the Bachelor’s degree.Students who have successfully completed respectively one or two years of higher education in the same or related specialties are admitted in the 2nd or 3rd year of the Bachelor’s degree.Admission to the 3rd year is also based on academic record for holders of a higher technician diploma (DEST, DUT) or a diploma attesting to undergraduate studies (DEUPC) in the specialty or related specialties.
